"Just wanted to give a review for Tahir at the Fremont Store. He was very helpful and was a pleasure to work with. He followed up with me multiple times to let me know when I should expect to hear about my sofa bed shipment. I would consider to come back again because of Tahir."

"Last Saturday (2/15/14), my husband and I took our 23 year old daughter shopping for a bedroom set for her new apartment in Manhattan. She is on a tight budget and we were accompanying her strictly for moral support. After doing some preliminary online research, it seemed like Jennifer Convertibles was the best bet for both quality /and/ value. As we entered the Farmingdale location, we caught the eye of a woman, named Maureen Hogan, seated behind the front desk. She immediately stood up and proceeded to help. Within no time, Maureen was busy sketching out a diagram of the bedroom to scale. She even spent time on the phone with my daughter's new roommate to make sure she got everything correct. Fortunately for us, Maureen was able to help us to make the right choices and walk out with a complete bedroom set and a top-of-the-line mattress well within our daughter's budget. She made what could have been a headache into a very pleasant experience." Thank you Maureen!

The coming and going of a few major holidays does not mean that you won’t find yourself entertaining guests in the near future. Just when you pulled down all of the decorations and put your furniture back in place, it might be time to prepare for another get-together, whether it be casual or formal. Luckily, to help you out, Jennifer Convertibles has amazing sales of 10-50% off everything thanks to our MLK Event going on now. The three main things that you might want to keep in mind for prepping your home furnishings for entertaining are the living room, the dining room, and the kids.
The Living Room
Since you will likely spend a majority of your time in the main room of your home, it is important that you make the space for your guests. Arrange your home furnishings so that your guests can move around easily. Arrange everything so that it displays a sense of order over haphazard clutter. Put away items you won’t be needing, and try to keep a color scheme in mind. If you find that you need more seats, we can help you find some accent chairs beginning at $99.99. You can also bring a sense of nature onto the scene with natural arrangements of flowers, leaves, or even branches no matter what time of year it is.
The Dining Room
Decide beforehand if your guests will be eating in the living room, or if your entertainment involves a meal in the dining room. If you are looking to brighten up the room, use mirrors and artwork to give the room a more dressed-up feel. Try to continue the theme from your living room with your dining room furniture and décor. Consider adding candles to your regular lighting to add to the ambiance of the meal. Remember to also have plenty of room for everyone at the table. Our consultants can help you find beautiful 5-piece dining room sets starting at $299.99.
Don’t Forget the Kids
When you have little ones or your guests are bringing some with them, don’t forget to provide a special place for them. Having a little table where they can do activities and eat in a cozy, safe spot nearby the adults could keep them busy and allow everyone to continue having a great time.
There is a lot of furniture preparation that goes into entertaining guests, holiday or not. To properly prep your home for entertaining, focus on the living room, dining room, and having a place just for the kids. Arrange your home furnishings so there is plenty of space for everyone, and declutter by putting away things you won’t be needing. Jennifer Convertibles has been helping customers ready their homes for entertaining and living since 1975. Call 1-800-JENNIFER for locations to take advantage of our MLK Event going on right now.

Ring in the New Year with New Style
A new year brings on so many wonderful new things. You have new goals, new ideas, new dreams to pursue, and it’s another chance to start out fresh. Now that the excitement of wonderful winter holidays has died down, you can focus on starting 2014 the way you want. At Jennifer Convertibles, one way that we like to start off the New Year is with a new style—furniture style! It doesn’t take a whole lot of new home furnishings to update the look of your home. Here are some tips on ringing in the New Year at your home with some new style.
Out with the Old, In with the New
Some pieces of furniture are meant to last forever. Other pieces could do with a replacement from time to time. Take sofas, for example. Depending on how worn yours is and whether or not you can even remember when you got it, it might be time to get a new one. Has your family grown, but your dining room table has not? Perhaps now is the time to make it so your whole family can sit together at the table for a meal.
There are some home furnishings that are meant to last forever; for other pieces, however, it could be time to toss out the old and bring in the new. Jennifer Convertibles has been helping customers furnish their homes since 1975, and right now, EVERYTHING is 10-50% off for our New Year’s Event! We even have new styles to help you update your home’s look for 2014.
Use Small Items to Completely Change a Room
It doesn’t need to just be large pieces of furniture. You can completely update a room by swapping out small home furnishings as well. A mirror, like a cheval at $79.99, can easily make a room look larger, rugs can alter the look of hardwood and carpet alike, and wall art can bring in a new ambiance. Even if changing out your sofas and tables is not on your to-do list, you can still get a “new style” for 2014 by looking at options like accents for incredible prices.
Focus on the Most-Used Areas of Your Home
Just focusing on the most-used areas of your home can bring about an entirely new look for anyone who sets foot through your doors. If changing up the look of every room seems a bit much, then focus on just a few rooms to change. Out of ideas? Our professional design consultants can help you reimagine the rooms you want to update.
You don’t have to do much to update the look of your home for the New Year. Get out the old, worn furniture, use small accent items, and focus on the most-used areas of your home to get that fresh, new look. Call 1-800-JENNIFER to find a location near you to take advantage of our New Year’s Event. Our bottom-line prices and professional consultants are just waiting for you.

Easy Decorating for Every Holiday
Does it ever seem like you’ve just put out your Halloween decorations, and it’s time to take them down and start thinking about Thanksgiving and Christmas? If you’re like us here at Jennifer Convertibles, the thought of re-decorating the house and home furnishings on a regular basis is one that might make you want to throw in the towel. Fortunately, it doesn’t have to be that hard. With a few little tweaks and a little bit of attention to detail, we’ve come up with some easy ways to add holiday cheer to your home.
Throws and Pillows
You can’t completely redo your sofabeds for each holiday, but you can add a few details here and there to bring in the holidays. Add a red throw over the back of the couch in February or an orange one in October. Pillow covers are fairly inexpensive and easy to make, and you can replace your throw pillows with each holiday.
The right sofabed can fit any type of décor, and right now we have a variety of sofabeds for just $399. As America’s largest sofabed specialist, we have a variety of styles to choose from and offer quick delivery. The perfect fabric and color can be a complement to every holiday.
The beauty that is chalkboard paint is utilized in millions of homes across the country. We love the idea of painting a small square in your kitchen and putting a frame or some molding around it. For each holiday, change your message. Add a small Christmas poem in December or pen the Pledge of Allegiance in July. Your kids will love it.
Utilize Your Staircase
If you have a stair railing, you can change your decorations easily and have a big impact on your home. String garland through your railing and add lights for Christmas, or hang bells from the posts after Thanksgiving. Make a thankful banner strung on twine for November, and insert small flags in July or on Veteran’s Day.
If you’ve got a window, you’ve got an outlet for decoration. Start with some bakers twine and some clothespins. Hang holiday pictures or items from the twine and drape the final product over your windows or other home furnishings. Easy to do, fun activity with the kids and brings the holiday spirit both in and outside your home.
Keep it Simple
At Jennifer Convertibles, we believe that a whole lot of simple adds up to a dramatic change in your holiday décor. Call us today at 1-800-JENNIFER to find our store locations. We’re confident you will find the perfect pieces to fit in your home.
